Navarre Beach

Welcome to Navarre!

What used to be Florida's best kept secret is now Florida's most relaxing place. The secret is out!

Navarre's main attraction is its white sandy beaches and emerald green waters. It is also home to the largest fishing pier in the Gulf of Mexico. For a small fee you can walk the pier and pay a little extra to get fishing passes and license! While walking the pier, be sure to stop and look down into the water every few feet or so…you may find some sea turtles!

Whether you're fishing or walking, have your camera ready because you are bound to see herons and pelicans up close and personal. They know that when the fishermen are having a good day, they may get the chance to steal a few treats! You will also want to take family photos against the backdrop of a beautiful sunset!

While you're there, stop in for the local fresh catch seafood, sandwiches, burgers and more at
Windjammers on the pier. You'll be glad you did!

For the aquatic animal lover in you, don't miss the
Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center. This is home to Sweet Pea, a rescued green sea turtle. Hear her story and learn why she cannot be released and what is being done to help rescue and release others. Visit navarrebeachseaturtles.org for visiting hours and more information

Over the bridge from the island to the mainland is the newly rebuilt
Navarre Park open from sunrise to sunset. This park features a large colorful playground and splash pad for keeping the kids cool after walking nature trails. There is a large, shady pavilion, some small gazebos and picnic tables waiting for you, so grab your lunch and go! This is probably a good time to mention the spacious parking lot and clean restrooms on site, just in case you were wondering.

Pensacola Beach

Fort Pickens is a main attraction in Pensacola Beach constructed in the early 1800s to protect the Pensacola Bay during the Civil War and WWII. Self guided tour maps are available to assist you in navigating through acres of history. There is a fee for entrance into Fort Pickens.
