DESTIN

Welcome to Destin where there is so much to do!  Although we always enjoy our sugar white beaches in the Emerald Coast, let's venture out beyond the beach to some of the family attractions and activities!

HarborWalk Village

Take a family day for fun on the waterfront at Harborwalk Village. You really can't get fresher catch cuisine than right on the harbor. For the seafood lover in you, choose from East Pass Seafood & Oyster House, Harry T's Lighthouse and Crab Island Seafood. For sandwiches, bagels and pastries there is Café Café coffee shop. The HarborWalk Marina shop is the place to go for gifts and souvenirs or to restock on snacks and small fishing supplies for today's excursion.

Head on over to the booking booth to charter a boat for deep sea fishing, or schedule a dolphin cruise right there on the boardwalk. Take the ferry from HarborWalk to the beach.

Big Kahuna's

The largest waterpark in Destin hands down is Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park. Exciting rides and slides, relaxing waves and lazy rivers! You name it, they got it! For more details visit bigkahunas.com

Destin Commons

Be sure to check out Destin Commons for a variety of activities! Start off by treating yourself to your favorite Starbucks drink. Sip and relax on one of the many benches while you watch the kids cool off on the huge splash pad and tire themselves out on the colorful playground! While you get a break, they get some fun.

Shopping

Whether your outdoor sport is camping, boating, fishing or hunting, the Bass Pro Shops is your next stop. With two floors of everything you can imagine for those who love the outdoors, you won't want to miss this place! But before you enter the store, you will want to take a selfie … with your head inside the shark's mouth (you'll see it as you walk in). Did you know they even carry fresh fudge? You have your pick of a wide assortment of flavors. Why not pick up a box for an after dinner treat!  At the back of the store is a giant tank filled with huge, colorful saltwater fish.  This truly is a unique place.

Where to go next? Get out of the sun and catch a movie at the AMC Theater.  Or cool off with an ice cream cone or slushy while strolling the charming streets to outdoor shopping.  Now is the time to think about pampering yourself or a friend with a personal gift. Choose from a selection of scented candles, fragrant soaps & lotions, or relaxing teas. What if scents and fragrances aren't your thing? No problem, you've got clothing & accessories, make up, and jewelry, or toys and candy, books and so much more! A final word on stores that are in a category all their own and are worth mentioning by name:  Earthbound Trading Company is a unique arts and crafts store carrying items from all over the world. And why not take the kids to make a plushie souvenir they'll be sure to remember at Build-A-Bear!

Crab Island

If you have a boat, then Crab Island is something you will get acquainted with fast. There's a reason Boating Magazine named Destin one of the ‘Top 10 Places to Live and Boat’ in the United States in 2020. Can't swim? You can stand! Crab Island is a shallow underwater sandbar on the north side of the Destin bridge popular with the boaters as a place to anchor. You can't get there without a watercraft, so feel free to rent a Pontoon at destinvacationboatrentals.com.
