FORT WALTON BEACH

Fort Walton Beach offers a variety of things to do for the family! Aside from the most beautiful white, sandy beaches and emerald green waters, you will want to visit the local shops, restaurants and museums!

Museums

The Heritage Park and Cultural Museum located at 139 Miracle Strip Parkway Southeast provides educational programs to its visitors to preserve the history of Fort Walton Beach and Northwest Florida.  It includes the Garnier Post Office, Camp Walton Schoolhouse and Indian Temple Mound museums as well as Civil war exhibits and the Fort Walton Temple Mound.

You will also want to explore the history of Fort Walton Beach by viewing the 1,000+ artifacts and prehistoric ceramics from European explorers, local pirates and early settlers at the Indian temple mound museum.

The warm year round temperatures in the Gulf Coast area lends itself to the fishing industry. So if you're a seafood lover, you will not be disappointed by fresh caught seafood dishes!
